How to Install Terminator on Arch Linux

What is Terminator

At its simplest Terminator is a terminal emulator like xterm, gnome-terminal, Konsole, etc.  It is gives you some cool features:

How to Install Terminator on Arch Linux

Update your Arch Linux

First of all we have to update our arch Linux. So you have to run the following command in the terminal.

$ sudo packman -Syu

or

$ sudo yay -Syu

Update arch Linux

We have to update the arch Linux time to time. And update depends on your internet speed.

Installation of Terminator

In arch, we have to install the Terminator using the following command:

$ sudo pacman -S terminator

or

$ sudo yay -S terminator
[linuxips@arch ~]$ sudo yay -S terminator

So after completing the above command. The Terminator (terminal emulator) is installed in your arch Linux. Now go to the Applications > System and then click on Terminator. So this is the terminator in your arch Linux.

How to Uninstall Terminator on arch Linux

If we have to uninstall the Terminator the we have to follow the following command:

Uninstall only terminator:

$ sudo pacman -R terminator

or

$ sudo yay -R terminator
